Will Auto Insurance Cover Medical Expenses? – Aurora CO

Hi everyone. This is Estefania wit the Conaway Insurance Agency back with another most asked insurance question. And today’s question is will auto insurance cover medical expenses? And to answer your question, if you only have liability insurance and you reject Med Pay and uninsured motorist, then the other person that you hit, if you were to hit somebody, would be medically covered. Unfortunately, since you rejected those coverages, then you wouldn’t be medically covered.
If you were to accept the Med Pay with us at Allstate, the lowest you can have is 5,000. The highest you can go is 25,000, and those payments are medical payments for you and your passengers. Regardless of who’s at fault in the accident, that coverage is there for you. If you have uninsured motorist, now that is coverage that only covers you medically if you get hit by someone that’s either uninsured or under-insured, and those limits only go as high as your liability limit. So you can always go lower, just not passing those liability limits that you already have.
And yeah, that would be the answer to that question. Please keep sending in those questions. We are more than happy to keep answering them and get you out of those doubts. Or you can always give us a call at the office, too, if you have any questions about your coverages or any additional coverages you might be missing. Thank you so much for your time today. And we look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
